About

An electrical contractor, not a jobbing electrician.

Hayden Electrical has been working across London since 1999. The work is mostly commercial: design and build packages, plant rooms, lighting control and security systems, delivered for main contractors, consultants and building owners.
We are NICEIC approved and carry £5m of public liability cover. Both matter less as badges than as the reason we can be put on a commercial site without a conversation about whether we should be there.
Recessed and feature lighting in a high specification bathroom

Twenty seven years in the same trade.

The company started in 1999 doing domestic and small commercial work. It grew through the contractors who kept calling back, and the balance shifted toward commercial installations, plant rooms and controls.
That is still how most work arrives. We are rarely the cheapest quote on a job, and we are usually the one that gets called when a previous installation has to be put right.
The office is in Gerrards Cross. The work is across Greater London.

What we hold, and what it means

NICEIC Approved Contractor

Registration 609106. Our work is assessed against BS 7671 by an external body, and we issue the certification that goes with it. The registration is public and can be checked.

Part P registered

Domestic installation work is notified as required, so building control is satisfied without the client having to chase it.

£5m public liability cover

Above the threshold most main contractors set before they will let a subcontractor on site, which keeps us eligible for commercial work at pre qualification stage.

Trading since 1999

Twenty seven years working in and around London, most of it repeat work for the same contractors and consultants.
Safety and compliance

Certification is the deliverable.

Every installation is inspected, tested and certified before we leave it. You receive the certificates, the schedule of test results and the as installed information, not a promise that it was all fine.
On commercial sites we work to the programme and the method statement, and we expect to be inspected. On rented stock we work around tenants and give notice properly. Neither is remarkable, but both are the difference between a job that completes and one that drags.

Ask us about a project.

Drawings, a specification, or a description of the problem. Whichever you have, send it over.
